aXichem secures production capacity for phenylcapsaicin, corresponding to volumes of up to 100 tons of aXiphen-feed, for the upcoming six to nine months
aXichem AB (publ), a developer of natural analogue industrial compounds, announces, as a follow-up to the previously communicated production status, that the company, through its subcontractors in Europe and Asia, has secured production capacity for volumes up to 100 tons for its salmonella inhibiting and growth promoting feed product, aXiphen-feed, for the upcoming six to nine months. The production is scalable and can be further increased. aXichem delivered 10 tons of aXiphen-feed to its distributor CHR. Olesen at the end of September, after having completed necessary verification of the production process for phenylcapsaicin, the raw material for the company’s products aXiphen-feed and aXivite.
– aXichem now has production capacity that can provide us with 100 tons of aXiphen-feed the upcoming six to nine months. The technical challenges are finally behind us and we can focus on managing the supply chain and deliver according to plan to our distributor CHR. Olesen, says Torsten Helsing, CEO of aXichem.
– I’m very pleased that aXichem now has an established production process for larger volumes. My view is that the estimates presented for upcoming production are well in line with the plan we have developed together for continued market establishment in Europe and South America, with the support existing and future regulatory approvals. Our goal is to turn the first volume delivery, that arrived end of last month, into sales on any of our targeted markets as soon as possible, says Mads Olesen, CEO at CHR. Olesen.
About aXiphen®
aXiphen is a natural analogue substance, a synthetically produced and patented capsacin, based on a molecule developed by aXiphen. Since aXiphen is synthetically produced the substance has several advantages compared to natural capsaicin. The main difference is that natural capsaicin is extracted from chili and therefore varies in quality and seldom reaches a concentration above 85 percent. aXiphenholds a concentration of at least 97 percent and has predictable characteristics. One of the key industrial benefits of aXiphenis that aXichem can determine its water- and fat solubility, which is critical when using the substance in various kinds of products.
