aXichem AB (publ),that develops and markets natural analogue industrial compounds, has received an approval for its product aXiphen for GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe)in accordance with the rules of the U.S. Food and Durg Administration. The GRAS approval means that aXihpen can be marketed and sold in the U.S. The final step in the GRAS process was completed, as previously communicated, by the fact that a scientific article, describing aXiphen, was approved for publication in the journal ”Toxicology Research and Application”, and aXichem has now obtained a formal positive reply.

-  We are incredibly proud and happy to now have a GRAS approval in place. The American market is now open for us when it comes to for example food and food additives. These are areas where capsaicin and its many positive effects are well known and where we see opportunities to establish our product, said Torsten Helsing, CEO of aXichem.

-  We now have the possibility to fully market our products in the U.S. GRAS is a stamp of approval. It shows that we offer an approved, safe product and this gives us a completely new advantage in our commercial discussions. GRAS is a very important mile stone for aXichem, said Lucas Altepost, Vice President of aXichem.

”Toxicology Research and Application” is a so called  ”open access” publication, which means that the articles are accessible for everybody, free of charge. A link to the article, as soon as it is published, will be posted on the aXichem website.
